The two entrances to the consultation

Consultation of lawyers and legal professionals

The consultation opens on Thursday 29 October at 00:00, Paris time

0 days0 hours57 minutes38 seconds

This entrance gathers the experience of those who practise: the firm’s successes, its gaps, the effect of digital tools on professional secrecy. Each message proposes one concrete action, described as you would present it to your colleagues.

Examples

  • A tool in your firm that served you well, or that made you fear for the confidentiality of a case.
  • An exchange with a client through a messaging service or an online space: its successes, its gaps.
  • A rule of professional conduct that needs clarifying in the face of artificial intelligence.
  • A service that the bar, the law school or the profession could offer to every firm.

The consultation team will follow your proposal under this theme up to the report.

Describe the situation in general terms, without any personal data about anyone other than yourself. A lawyer recounting a case writes neither the client’s name nor any detail that would allow the client to be recognised, since professional secrecy also applies to this message.

One idea per message, 8,000 characters at most, ideally with an example from practice: a tool, a procedure, an incident, a success. When you can, also say who could lead this action.

So that the consultation team can reply to you.

Publishing your contribution

I agree that my contribution may be published on this site after review, with or without my name as chosen below, under the Open Licence 2.0: anyone may reuse it freely, including for commercial purposes, provided they cite its source. I may ask for its removal from the site at any time. Removal does not recall copies already reused.

Personal data

The publisher of the site keeps your message, together with the information you choose to provide, in order to prepare the report of the consultation, on the basis of your consent. Open-weight artificial intelligence models, which the consultation runs on its servers in France, analyse it to help the team read it; a member of the team takes every decision. Your email address, if you give it, is used only to reply to you.

You may request access to your message, its rectification or its erasure by writing to propositions@souverainete-avocats.fr. Details are given on the Personal data page.

After sending, a personal link shows you your contribution’s progress: received, read, under review, retained, amended or set aside with a reason, merged, in the report.
