Consultation

The modernisation of the legal profession is a matter for society as a whole: it determines everyone’s access to justice. That is why civil society is invited to have its say.

The stakes of modernisation

  1. Modernisation

The condition for the profession’s prosperity, for its protection and for everyone’s access to justice.

  2. Digital sovereignty

No modernisation without control over its tools, when extraterritorial laws such as the CLOUD Act bind American providers and foreign groups buy up French legal publishers.

  3. Institutions of the profession

Trusted third parties at the centre: legal start-ups and publishers are meant to rally around them, building on open-source components.

The consultation, open to professionals and citizens alike, will officially open on Thursday 29 October 2026. Until then, anyone may already take part: lawyer, law firm, bar, institution, company, association, researcher or private citizen. Simply send a message from this page or write to propositions@souverainete-avocats.fr. Its report will be published on 25 May 2027.

Proposals, ideas, lessons from experience: 8,000 characters at most.

So that the consultation team can reply to you.

Your data

The publisher of the site keeps your message, together with the information you choose to provide, in order to prepare the report of the consultation, on the basis of your consent. Your email address, if you give it, is used only to reply to you.

You may request access to your message, its rectification or its erasure by writing to propositions@souverainete-avocats.fr. Details are given on the Personal data page.

After sending, a link that only you receive shows your contribution’s progress: received, read, under review, retained, amended or set aside with a reason, merged, in the report.
